Data is held in siloed databases and unable to inform decisions in other areas of the system. One part of the system is unable to control another part of the system for the benefit of the whole.

System Operations Backend
The systems operations backend is extensive - I chose to leverage Tailwind UI Styles and many tools for planning the structure and implementation of the platform. The platform includes managing orders / order issues, the hiring funnel, managing drivers and deliveries, viewing and managing stores, managing menus, managing customers, managing discount codes, reporting, placing ad hoc orders, managing company payouts, and much more.
Menu Building & Management
The challenge with our menu builder was to enable wide flexibility but maintain core consistent concepts. Building a menu can be complex, but by utilizing simple and widely used UI concepts, building any kind of menu becomes easy and incremental.
Online Ordering
The online ordering experience includes both web and mobile, as well as a native app. Some features include full ordering experience, group ordering (single pay and group pay), checkout, order tracking, delivery/pick up, issue reporting, account settings/order history, emails and receipts, and more.
Ordering Kiosk
The ordering kiosk is an in-store experience that allows the customer to view the menu and place an order in store for pickup. It is congruous with the online ordering experience, but is simpler and includes payment processing.
Point of Sale
Point of sale is the platform for the employees to enter an order in store or by phone. It is optimized for searching and prioritizes quick entry, and includes payment processing.
Kitchen Display System
The kitchen display system is our unique set of screens that allows the kitchen to operate their kitchen efficiently. It can include expo screens which display driver operations and let the expo batch and optimize deliveries and orders.
Driver App
The driver app is an experience completely optimized for drivers using the Empower Delivery system. It offers unique gig work methods and concepts, a low-touch user experience, and transparent earnings and store metrics. The app aims to improve the driver's experience and provide them with more deliveries per hour and fresher food for the customer. The design includes wireframes and UI elements for the driver loop and continuous work.
